Gibson USA's Slash Signature Les Paul Standard is a heartfelt tribute to Slash and the guitar he's used for more than 20 years to create some of the most powerful and popular hard rock of all time. Working closely with Slash, Gibson USA recreated his favorite Les Paul Standard. "I've got one of these on the road right now," Slash says. "It's probably one of the best live guitars that I've had in a really long time. It's all the best qualities of Les Pauls rolled into one. All in all, it's a pretty badass guitar." The magic of this guitar is in the details. An Antique Vintage Sunburst finish is applied to a solid mahogany body with a AA maple figured top and dark back. The body features Gibson's period-correct weight-relief structure, along with a pair of Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro humbuckers–the same pickups Slash uses in all his Les Pauls–for sweet, vintage tone. The Slash-designed solid mahogany neck is given a thin, comfortable profile to Slash's personal specifications, and Slash's skull and crossbones, top hat logo, and signature adorn the headstock. A custom-made, smooth black case featuring Slash's logo accompanies every guitar. The Gibson USA Slash Signature Les Paul is a limited-edition run of only 1,600 guitars worldwide.

Rachel Henry photoshoot at Guitar Store for Men’s Health (November Issue)

Rachel Henry (sister of Deborah Henry winner of the Miss Malaysia World 2007 beauty pageant) came to Guitar Store Damansara Perdana to do a photoshoot for the magazine Men’s Health.  Just look out for the November issue of Men’s Health

Rachel Henry Profile:

Rachel Darshini Henry is a multitalented singer/songwriter/performer of Irish-Indian descent. Born on the 1st November 1990, she discovered her love for music at the tender age of 9. Her musical abilities include singing, playing the piano, the recorder and the flute. She started performing for her school orchestra and caught the attention of her music teachers.
At the age of 14, Rachel moved to Brisbane, Australia where her passion for music grew. S
Along the way, she discovered the art of acting and began performing in school plays and dramas. In 2007, her focus shifted back to music as she began to perfect a song she had written entitled She Waits.
This song was written and composed under her creative direction with the help of several other musicians. Blending her soothing, almost hypnotic voice with an equally calming yet mysterious melody, She Waits displayed all the signs of a unique artist’s work.
Rachel returned to Malaysia in late 2008 after having finished her high school diploma. Armed with She Waits on demo, it was clear that she wouldn’t have to wait much longer before someone noticed her talent.
Early this year, Rachel Henry met Malaysian mega-artist Reshmonu. Impressed by her raw talent, he signed her up as an artist under his digital record label, R-Records. She Waits is her first single and she hopes to release more songs in the future.
Apart from music, Rachel also takes center stage as a cast member of this year’s T4YP (Theatre for Young People). She will be performing throughout 2009 at various venues including KLPAC.

VHT is a name with a history of quality.   First introduced to the world almost 20 years ago, VHT has become synonymous with excellent tone and boutique style.  When we began to add more variety to the VHT sound palette, we knew that people wouldn't be satisfied with standard run-of-the-mill designs or mediocre quality.  We wanted to create amplifiers that were truly capable of enhancing players' creativity by offering versatile, expressive products that are useful and great sounding for any style of music.  We did our initial R & D by researching classic American tube amplifier designs, from companies like K&F, Fender, Gibson, and Magnatone and then went on to explore some of the classic designs by Vox, Hiwatt and Marshall.  Inspired by some of the most historic and sought-after amp tones on the planet, the VHT engineering team worked tirelessly to design and assemble what we believe to be some of the best tube amplifiers available.

We began developing the new VHT sound with full understanding that to build the best amps we needed to begin with components that worked exceptionally well together.  Our VHT designers focused on outfitting our amps with only carefully selected quality parts. Our top-of-the-line handwired tube amplifiers are assembled in our design workshop in the San Francisco Bay Area, USA.  Once we've put them together with our own hands, each amp is subjected to extensive testing and examination, to make sure only the finest VHT products make their way to you.  At VHT we take tone very seriously.  This isn't a hobby, this isn't a job; it's more like a calling, or an obsession with making amazing tone available to everyone.

VoX Wah Available Now!

The new V847 Wah-Wah pedal is an enhanced version of the most famous guitar effects pedal of all time. Based on the specifications of the original pedal developed by VOX in the '60s, the new Wah-Wah offers guitarists the same legendary tone with the addition of AC power capability and a buffered input jack for preserving the unprocessed guitar tone when the pedal is not engaged. The pedal’s inductor has undergone a redesign to be closer in specification to the original VOX wah inductors, for improved dynamics and tone. These additions will benefit players of all genres who use a wah pedal as an integral part of their sound.
